Should I use Ahjo or Aitta?
CSC offers two inference services for open-weight large language models, each with an OpenAI-compatible API.
Ahjo
Ahjo is meant for production use. It serves a few selected models on dedicated hardware, keeps them running at all times, and targets predictable performance with quality-of-service quotas. Ahjo is a paid service, currently available by contract only.
To discuss a contract, contact servicedesk@csc.fi.
Aitta
Aitta is meant for research and is free for academic use. It offers a large library of models on CSC's shared HPC systems, starting a job for each model. Aitta is currently available to anyone with a LUMI project.
